I think it’s what they call a “stink bug.” If you kill it and you suddenly smell something weird, that’s what it is. It’s good to kill them. Also, it’s yet another invasive species from Asia. I’m so tired of the environment getting ruined by this kind of crap. It was first introduced into Pennsylvania and every year its range gets wider and is now established in most of North and South America. Here’s the wikipedia trivial article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_marmorated_stink_bug and here’s the better link on how to exterminate the little f#@$ers https://www.tipsbulletin.com/how-to-get-rid-of-stink-bugs-simple-home-remedies/ A nice thing is that they’re easy to murder. You can use an environmentally friendly soap, mix it with water, and spray your garden or yard with it. You can also do that indoors. I like this method because they suffer.
The first time I saw one of these I was intrigued, but when I read about the life stages of the dragonfly, I was blown away. Now when I see these “husks” it makes me smile. Scary though, huh? π β€οΈ π β€οΈ π
It is a bit prehistoric looking but knowing what that is now, you know a dragonfly got it’s wings ππ Now I have to Google this. I have to see what they look like in this phase of their life.
Itβs terrifying.

Haha! After our talk about spiders, I thought I’d show a biggish bug.

Ok, time to tell all! This is actually an empty ‘husk’ of a dragonfly nymph. Yup, this is what a dragonfly looks like just before it gets its wings!

I love dragonflies, but I guess not enough to recognize a nymph husk.

It’s weird, isn’t it? I thought it would be fun quiz and you were not the only one to guess stinkbug. A couple of people on facebook did, too!
