Yup, they said it!  Right there on the TV.  Another storm coming.  We had more than a foot a few days ago and now another storm has just started.  The last one was a nor’easter and this one is, too.  That’s a relatively big storm coming from, you guessed it, the North East.  That storm made me grumpy, as you well know.  Today the weather people are just taking their lives into their own hands.  More than one of them said that we are going to have a BLIZZARD!!!  Aww, c’mon people!  Are you freaking kidding me?

I finally decided that there must be one angry god or goddess hating the Hades out of us up here in New England.  I looked it up and this is what I found:

“Khione is the Greek goddess of snow, daughter of Boreas, god of the North Wind and Winter, and sister of Zethes and Calais. She is depicted as a goddess in the series, although in some myths she is visualized as a snow nymph.”

Let me just make it perfectly clear, Khione.  Your number is up!  I am about to go on a Khione-killing mission. So girl, you’d better make yourself scarce.  Scarce as in skeddadle, baby!  Take a powder!  Yes, take all of the powder with you!  I’m not kidding!  I have dragons and they will smite you.  Or at least melt you a bit, so if you don’t want to get all melty, get out!

You know, I complain about Winter a lot here.  Much of it is in jest.  After all, I live in Maine and Winter is to be expected.  A long, cold winter is to be expected.  But today I’m just ticked off.  Can you tell?

So think of us in New England as we are digging out, yet again.  Meanwhile, I’ll be summoning the dragons!

    1. I like the word buttinsky! Sounds like a Polish swear word. We’ll be fine as long as the power holds out. Bill was on his way home and stopped at the grocery store just after it first started. They were already on auxilliary power. We’ve been lucky so far out here in the sticks.

  3. Hey I’m not completely east but we’ve been getting remnants of it all day! Had to drive through a whiteout midday cause got super slammed out of nowhere. We’re down to a sprinkle now but who knows which way it’ll go for the rest of the day. Thinking of you my friend! I’m sure Walter is having the time of his life though 😁

    1. Yikes! I saw that it was quite a large storm, but I didn’t realize my more westerly friends were getting it, too. Walter is very happy. He’s sleeping with his head under my laptop. He hasn’t been out in hours so I bet he’ll have a bit of a surprise when he does go out.

  4. I don’t know if the dragons even want to visit your small hamlet. They could help melt all that snow. It’s too damn cold and snowy. I’m sure dragons prefer to fly south for the winter and drink piña coladas, maybe get caught in the rain, they’re not into yoga and they are into champagne.

    1. I officially hate you right this very minute for putting that song in my head! Ok, I don’t hate you, but I am looking at your sternly! By the way, my dragons hang out wherever I am unless I send them on a special mission. I have one out in the field right now. She’s lending a little support to one of my WP friends in Germany. I can send one over to inspect your handiwork once your Chinese dragon is done. I have a feeling he will approve very much!

  5. Khione needs to go on a LONG vacation. So sorry she is dumping all that snow on you. The best part of snow in March is it wont last too long … at least that is the way it works here in Iowa. Stay warm!
