Many thanks for Linda to allow me to post on her wonderful blog. I’m pleased and honored.
Posting about the place I live in is not the same as posting about a place that I visited once or twice. One might have a lot to talk about and a lot of pictures or events to share. One post isn’t enough for sure and more is coming…
Arab Gulf countries have an impressing modern architecture. Though in Qatar, there is a noticeable touch of the old lovely culture and heritage.
Heritage?! You can spend hours at “Souq Waqif” (the oldest market here)… A lot of fun and traditional stuffs in addition to restaurants and cafes. Yet almost all world food cuisines are available in Qatar, you must try the traditional food “Harees”.
Having Harees is more fun at the traditional food court in Souq Waqif – traditional food in traditional way.
Of course, the main wonderful place is Doha Corniche:

To be continued…
This got me so excited!!! My in-laws moved to Doha late last year (miss them so much 😢) . I am visiting at the end of the year for a few days . Looking coward to see this beautiful place of Middle East! ♥️🤗

Aha, I heard that it is so much expensive compared to other gulf countries. You could adapt yourself as per the situation. I have lived in Dubai about 4 years. And I could not stay anymore there, because I was unable to save. And Qatar is much expensive, isn’t it?

Generally speaking, it’s expensive. However, it depends on how you define or estimate savings… Rent is the highest. If income could cover the rent and basics, the rest would be saving then.
The basics vary based on the number of the family’s members and school’s stuffs…

Thanks for your reply, got it . And we could save depending on how much they pay basically. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, means a lot, Mohamed!

I agree with what others say of your land….what I want to add is….
everything looks so clean and pristine. I do not see debris laying around. No trash on the ground.
Even the air looks crisp, fresh and pure…….
Thank you for this sharing and I look forward to the others.

Thank you very much Ren for your kind words. Yes, in deed, Doha is very clean city… The only problem is the traffic jams during specific times of the day. But things will be ok I guess before the time of World Cup 2022
